Earth Overshoot Day on August 22, 2020

The resource budget for 2020 has been used up: by August 22nd, mankind had used as much as the earth can renew in the whole year.

Last year, Earth Overshoot Day was on July 29th. The fact that the day of action takes place a few weeks later this year is a result of the corona pandemic.

So that Earth Overshoot Day takes place later in the year, everyone is asked. Because everyone can make a contribution: Save energy, leave the car behind more often, buy seasonal food and durable products made from recycled materials and generally avoid waste.
