Necessity is the mother of invention

The first modified compact version of the M400 with a new sieve exchange construction is departing our plant in Igling.

Development of a new sieve exchange construction: As a rule, exchanging the sieve is carried out below the machine. When carried out there is a transition funnel with a maintenance opening situated under the cutting unit for a problem free exchange of the sieve. However, for this project this construction method is not practicable due to limited space. A rethink was required. That's why our technicians have replaced the location of the extraction point. Now the sieve exchange can be carried out from the rear.

There are obvious advantages:

  • Reduced height of the construction, since the standard transition funnel with maintenance opening is eliminated
  • Better accessibility to the cutting unit and / or perforated sieve
  • Less preparation time for maintenance (no preparatory work required)
  • Less time spent on sieve maintenance
  • Makes optical control of the reduction process possible by means of an integrated viewing window
  • Dust-tight version of the maintenance opening

The shredder is equipped with both a rotary feeder and a pneumatic ram to feed the material optimally to the cutting unit.
