Our giant project is finished

Most modern refrigerator recycling plant built in Aarwangen, Switzerland

After a one-year construction period, Immark AG, together with Thommen AG, inaugurates one of the most modern refrigerator recycling plants in Europe. In the newly built processing hall, with an area of almost 3000 square meters, in Aarwangen, it specializes in the recycling of refrigerators and other cooling appliances and can process up to 200 refrigerators per hour with its two lines.

The realization of the recycling plant is one of the largest projects in our company history and we are mighty proud as a Bavarian family business to be a part of something so big. In total, more than 825 tons of material were used. That corresponds to almost 165 elephants or as we like to calculate in Bavaria: over 358,000 Maß beer (liter of beer) - what a big party!!! With our photos we would like to give you a little insight into the construction phase of the project.

Refrigerator recycling = active climate protection - recycling rate of more than 85 %

The new recycling plant can process all types of compressor appliances. The refrigeration appliances are fed into the plant system one after the other and are processed fully automatically over several processing steps in such a way that the greatest possible sorting purity is achieved. With a recycling rate of over 85%, the plant makes a valuable contribution to a functioning recycling economy and is thus one of the pioneers in the professional dismantling of refrigerators, freezers and air conditioners.
