The task: the shredding of edge strips of filter mats. Our solution: a custom-made product with 2 modified FKZ shredders.
The machines are a modified version of our cardboard shredder FKZ. The reason for choosing the shredder was the good intake ratio compared to conventional, cutting systems. With this type of construction, the material is not cut directly but rather torn apart.
The two machines with the designation FKZ200 are installed directly on the on-site production facility. The edge strips come directly from the processing machine and are fed into the cutting unit by means of feed rollers. There it is shredded and then conveyed to a collecting container via a screw conveyor. The throughput is around 140 kg/h.
