Shredding of plasterboards

Due to their high gypsum content, plasterboards are basically suitable for recycling.

Plasterboards are used in particular as wall and ceiling cladding, as planking for assembly walls and for the production of prefabricated components. Depending on the intended use, they differ slightly in their material composition, but usually consist of 80 - 95 % gypsum and a cardboard coating (about 4 %).

During the processing, the paper components and other adhesions are first separated from the gypsum. The gypsum powder or granulate then can be reused as a secondary raw material in the gypsum and cement industries.

Our twin-shaft shredder M465/2-570 easily shreds the Plasterboards into a homogeneous gypsum-cardboard mixture and thus prepares the material for further processing.
